ST. LOUIS, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Edward Jones today announced a significant expansion in the firm’s workplace business with the development of an innovative, AI-powered, end-to-end retirement plan management tool in collaboration with Aboon and Retirement Plan Advisory Group, LLC (RPAG®) – part of Great Gray Group, LLC.
The expansion aims to enable financial advisors to best serve business owners and their employees with workplace retirement plans and strengthens the firm’s ability to serve clients across every stage of their financial journeys.
How Edward Jones is simplifying retirement plan management for financial advisors
To better enable financial advisors to serve business owners with workplace retirement plans, Edward Jones is collaborating with Aboon and RPAG to develop a workplace retirement plan management solution.
- The Retirement Plan Management Center will roll out to Edward Jones financial advisors beginning in 2027, delivering a seamless, integrated experience across the entire workplace retirement plan lifecycle – from prospecting to plan servicing.
- The solution will equip financial advisors with the insights and resources needed to grow and manage retirement plans more efficiently and at scale, with capabilities spanning prospecting, plan type evaluations, recordkeeper analysis and selection, proposal generation, onboarding, benchmarking and ongoing plan servicing.
“At Edward Jones, we saw an opportunity to simplify retirement plan management,” said Katherine Roy, Principal, Workplace and Retirement Solutions at Edward Jones. “By combining the strengths of Edward Jones, Aboon and RPAG, we’re building a more connected experience that helps advisors manage retirement plans more efficiently and better serve business owners and their employees.”
Once complete, the Retirement Plan Management Center will include an innovative centralized prospecting tool that helps financial advisors uncover opportunities across businesses – whether they have retirement plans or not – and a plan dashboard complete with integrated metrics, insights, alerts and notifications.
Why Edward Jones is teaming up with Aboon and RPAG:
Edward Jones is working with select technology partners, including Aboon and RPAG, to build a unified experience and accelerate delivery for practice teams.
- Aboon’s presence in the industry as a third-party administrator and workplace platform that helps advisors find, win and expand new plan business makes them a strong match for supporting adjacent experiences within the plan prospecting and sales process. Aboon Workplace is designed to support additional third-party administrators on the platform, which will give advisors even more choice as they build their retirement plan business.
“RPMC will leverage Aboon Workplace, an AI-native platform that lets advisors find and win retirement plans all in one place,” said Nick Gavronsky, Aboon CEO and co-founder. “Together, we’re creating a simpler, more streamlined experience for all advisors, whether they’re launching or scaling their retirement plan business.”
- RPAG provides an industry-leading technology platform retirement plan advisors use to manage plan data, due diligence and reporting, supporting more than 120,000 plans and 10 million participants nationwide. That depth of plan data makes RPAG a strong fit for recordkeeper proposal comparisons, the implementation process at Edward Jones and plan servicing capabilities such as fee benchmarking and investment reporting.
“The next decade of workplace retirement will be decided by the innovation supporting advisors. Advisors are carrying more plans, more data and more scrutiny than the tools they inherited were built to handle. Edward Jones is rebuilding that layer and we’re very pleased to have RPAG be a significant part of that rebuild,” said Rob Barnett, President and Chief Executive Officer of Great Gray Group, overseeing RPAG.
Why workplace retirement plans matter
Edward Jones’ recent Money and Meaning: Understanding Financial Fulfillment report in partnership with Gallup found that 90% of respondents considered “financially fulfilled” had a retirement account such as a 401(k) or Roth IRA compared to just 57% of those considered “financially stressed.”
- With nearly a third of Americans having their first investment experience in the workplace – according to September 2025 research from Edward Jones and Morning Consult – the workplace remains a primary entry point for individual investors to begin their financial journeys.
“We’re innovating, investing and systematically removing barriers of entry for financial advisors, business owner clients, and their employees, because we see the retirement space as a driver of financial fulfillment for clients and a growth engine for the firm,” said Roy.
