New specialization helps educational institutions modernize technology, strengthen security and build the AI foundation for their systems and infrastructure.
HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — AMSYS today announced AMSYS for Education, a dedicated vertical helping K–12 schools, colleges and universities navigate technology modernization and the rapid shift toward AI.
Led by Tony Moore, Vice President of Business Development at AMSYS Group, AMSYS for Education brings together expertise across the technology lifecycle to help institutions modernize infrastructure, strengthen security, prepare for AI and improve how technology supports academic and operational priorities.
“Education is at an inflection point,” Moore said. “AI can transform how institutions teach, conduct research and operate, but the foundation has to be ready. Governance, data, infrastructure, security and people have to move together. AMSYS for Education is designed to help institutions make that transition from strategy through implementation and ongoing operations.”
Moore brings decades of higher education and technology leadership experience. He previously served as Executive Director of IT at the University of Arizona, where he led a $26 million annual technology portfolio and 140-member IT organization, and as CIO at Prairie View A&M University. He also held technology leadership roles at Xavier University of Louisiana and Southern University and A&M College, following earlier roles at HP, AT&T and IBM.
AMSYS for Education will focus on AI governance and readiness; cybersecurity and campus safety; network, cloud, data center and device modernization; managed IT operations; technology staffing; and workforce development. Specialized solutions include CampusShield™ managed physical security and technology optimization, academic cyber ranges and threat simulation labs, and intelligent campus command centers that connect real-time facilities monitoring with applied STEM learning.
The AMSYS team builds for both K–12 and higher education environments, with solutions tailored to their different technology and funding requirements. For schools and districts, capabilities include AI governance, managed services, cybersecurity, CTE lab development, staffing and hardware lifecycle programs, with consideration for E-Rate and Title funding pathways. For colleges and universities, AMSYS will support enterprise and academic technology environments spanning AI, applications, identity and access management, networks, cloud and data centers, campus security, research and workforce programs.
“Institutions are being asked to modernize infrastructure, secure increasingly complex environments, adopt AI responsibly and prepare students for a workforce that is changing just as quickly,” said Khalid Parekh, CEO of AMSYS Group. “That requires more than another point solution. AMSYS for Education gives institutions access to expertise across the technology lifecycle, led by someone who understands their challenges from the inside.”
Moore will speak at Southern University’s Dr. Leroy C. Roquemore Computer Science Symposium on September 17, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on “Human-AI Interactions: Challenges and Opportunities for the 23rd Century” Registration and event details are available through the Southern University Foundation.
