CSI, a leading provider of end-to-end financial software and technology, today announced CSI Commercial Suite, designed to help community banks compete for larger and more complex business customers. The suite combines modern deposit, payment, card, and treasury capabilities in prepackaged solutions, pre-integrated with CSI’s core and digital banking platforms and connecting directly to the accounting and ERP systems businesses use daily.

Businesses increasingly expect modern payment and cash management capabilities, and many will change banks to get them. According to Datos Insights, half of community bank customers are now open to switching financial institutions within two years, and those who move cite better functionality, not price, as the reason. For a community bank, that means deposits, fee revenue, and daily financial work are at risk of migrating to larger institutions over time.

In its latest research, Datos also found that the top cash flow complaint among community bank customers is managing multiple systems that don’t communicate with each other. CSI is helping community banks address this fragmentation by delivering the modern capabilities that keep them at the center of how businesses manage and move money.

“Businesses outgrow basic cash management well before they outgrow their bank,” said Gilles Ubaghs, executive advisor with the Commercial Banking & Payments practice at Datos Insights. “The banks that close that gap with more connected capabilities are better placed to keep commercial relationships they’d otherwise be at risk of losing.”

CSI is initially packaging these capabilities around commercial markets where community banks already hold the relationship and local knowledge, but where operational requirements have historically pushed the business toward larger institutions. These include homeowners and community associations, landlords and property management companies, attorney and client trusts, and title companies. CSI is also delivering cash management and liquidity capabilities that span markets, providing businesses with multi-entity treasury operations, real-time balance visibility, and automated reconciliation.

While each industry has distinct requirements, they share underlying needs around fund segregation, payment controls, reconciliation, and reporting. CSI is bringing those capabilities together on a common technology foundation, enabling banks to support specialized commercial workflows without the burden of managing multiple vendors and complex commercial integrations.

“Community banks are the operating infrastructure of local economies, and every commercial relationship they can’t fully serve means deposits, treasury activity, and eventually lending capacity leaving the community for a bigger bank,” said Nancy Langer, president and CEO of CSI. “With this suite, we’re giving community banks the sophisticated capabilities their business customers now expect, so they can keep those relationships and the local economic activity that comes with them.”

CSI Commercial Suite brings together several capabilities supporting commercial financial operations, including:

  • Real-time ledgering and virtual account management, enabling businesses to organize and track funds by entity, property, client, transaction, or purpose while giving the bank a single, consolidated view of the relationship

  • Multi-rail payment orchestration, supporting payment activity across ACH, wire, the RTP® network, the FedNow® Service, and card rails

  • Commercial card capabilities, including debit, prepaid, virtual, and corporate card programs with configurable controls

  • Digital banking and treasury capabilities, including dashboards, payment approvals, user permissions, mobile banking, and APIs

  • Embedded banking through direct API integration with industry-specific ERP systems

  • Automated allocation, reconciliation, and reporting, helping reduce manual processes while providing greater visibility into balances and transaction activity

  • Operational controls, including audit trails, positive pay, activity monitoring, and configurable governance

The announcement follows CSI’s July 2026 acquisition of payments infrastructure provider Qolo and builds on CSI’s multi-year investment in commercial banking technology. Qolo’s technology serves as the orchestration layer of CSI Commercial Suite across payments, accounts, and workflows, integrating with CSI’s core, digital banking, and broader API capabilities.

Harmony Bank, a community bank serving businesses and consumers in Northeast Texas, will be among the first to take advantage of CSI Commercial Suite, with a focus on supporting banking for homeowners associations (HOAs) and other community associations.

“Commercial clients want relationship banking and technology that fits how they operate, especially in HOA and community association banking, where managing hundreds of associations creates complex account, payment, and reconciliation needs,” said Kara Fox, senior vice president, director of Signature Solutions at Harmony Bank. “The same is true for property managers, law firms, healthcare practices, and municipalities. CSI Commercial Suite will give banks like ours the ability to grow alongside the associations, businesses, and communities we serve.”

CSI plans to introduce CSI Commercial Suite capabilities in a phased rollout beginning in Q2 of 2027.
