Capital Machine, a distributor and service provider for metal fabrication machinery since 1984, today announced it has acquired KC Robotics, a robotic systems integrator based in West Chester, Ohio. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition marks Capital Machine’s first add-on since partnering with Rotunda Capital Partners in March 2025.

For more than 35 years, KC Robotics has designed, built, and integrated custom automation for manufacturers across North America. Its work includes welding, cutting and finishing, material handling, machine tending, assembly, and vision-guided cells. The company has in-house engineering, fabrication, and robot programming, and holds integrator credentials with FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa Motoman, KUKA, Fronius, ESAB, and Miller.

Capital Machine sells and services press brakes, metal cutting machinery, and robotic welders. It has showrooms in Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis, and Harrisburg, and provides field service across 22 states. Adding KC Robotics moves the company from equipment supplier to automation partner. Customers can now have the full system scoped, engineered, and delivered by one provider instead of buying a machine and handing the automation to a separate integrator.

“Our customers have been asking us to help them solve their automation challenges, not just sell them the machine at the center of the cell,” said Dan DeBickero, CEO of Capital Machine. “KC Robotics brings the engineering depth to design and deliver complete systems. Our aftermarket service organization will stand behind those systems for the long run.”

KC Robotics will keep operating under its own name as part of Capital Machine, and Kyle Carrier will continue to lead it. KC Robotics customers will keep working with the same engineering and project management team. They also gain access to Capital Machine’s broader equipment portfolio and aftermarket service program.

“Joining Capital Machine lets us bring our engineering to far more manufacturers, backed by a service footprint few integrators can match,” said Kyle Carrier, CEO, KC Robotics. “Our customers keep the team they know, with a lot more behind it.”
