Zact, a bank-first commercial banking technology company, today unveiled the expanded Zact Platform, bringing commercial cards, expense management, payables, travel and other financial capabilities together in one integrated experience. By working within a bank’s existing architecture, Zact gives financial institutions the capabilities to compete while retaining their deposits, revenue, brand, and direct customer relationships.
Zact has built the bank-grade technology foundation required to operate within the complex environments of financial institutions. The platform connects with the major processors, card networks and payment rails banks already use, allowing financial institutions to modernize their commercial offerings without replacing their existing systems or partner relationships. Today, Zact is fully integrated with two of the largest issuer processors serving banks globally, with integration to a third major processor underway. Zact is already supporting all three major global card networks.
Building on that bank-grade foundation, Zact’s application suite includes commercial card and expense management, integrated payables, travel, rebate management and other capabilities designed to help banks compete for more of their commercial customers’ financial activity. The platform centralizes data and workflows across applications, giving banks and their commercial customers a more integrated experience that can grow with their needs.
The Zact Platform brings together three core capabilities:
- Bank-grade infrastructure and integrations: Connections to the issuer processors, card networks and payment rails banks already rely on, allowing banks to modernize while keeping customer funds and transactions on bank rails.
- Interoperable applications: Commercial card and expense management, integrated payables and invoice automation, travel booking, travel reconciliation, rebate management, along with AI-assisted policy, approval and workflow automation across the suite. Banks can also deploy applications individually or as an integrated suite.
- Centralized portfolio management: Zact’s Portfolio Console provides banks with a single place to manage their commercial programs, combining data across the platform for greater visibility, control and portfolio-level insights.
Together, these capabilities enable banks to deliver the modern financial experiences commercial customers increasingly expect without ceding more of the relationship to standalone fintech providers.
“Banks shouldn’t have to watch fintechs take more of the commercial customer relationship simply because they offer a better technology experience,” said John Thomas, CEO of Zact. “Banks already have the customers, deposits, trust and financial infrastructure. We’ve built the technology that helps them compete effectively, deliver the experience their customers expect and keep more of that relationship.”
